An integral part of the worship service is the Music program at Fourth Presbyterian Church. New participants are always welcome. Below you will find opportunities for you to raise a joyful noise unto the LORD.
The Adult Choir provides music for both of the Sunday worship services on a frequent basis and sings for most of the seasonal worship services during the year. Singers of all levels of experience are encouraged to come and join. The choir performs music of many different styles and seeks to be a "family" within the church for all of its members. Age 5 through grade 5, Wednesdays beginning September 14, 5:00 p.m. Treble Choir (age 5 through grade 2) - Room 23, led by Sally Pellew and Debbie Kyser Jubilate Singers (Grades 3-5) - Choir room, led by Hank Hinnant, IvarDell Poore, Mary Jane Poore, and Marty Lancaster.
The Handbell Choir plays in worship at least four times a year and plays music of many different styles. Some knowledge of music reading is helpful but not required. The Handbell choir rehearses on Sunday afternoon.
The choir sings frequently with the adult choir on Sunday mornings and sometimes by itself. Grades 6 through 12, Wednesdays beginning September 14, 6:30 p.m. in the Choir room; Hank Hinnant, director; Shelton Love, accompanist.
