Presbyterian Women Retreat Signups
What is Presbyterian Women?
Presbyterian Women (PW) is a church-wide fellowship organization open to all women members and visitors. PW offers many opportunities for individual spiritual growth and service through Bible study, prayer, mission/witness, and congregational care. Circles meet the second Tuesday of each month during the school year beginning with a joint meeting in September and ending in May. Each year, the PW Retreat provides women a chance to form deeper friendships during a Friday evening though Saturday lunch conference.
Thank Offering boxes will be collected at the November Circle meetings or they may be turned in to the church office. 100% of Thank Offering donations support programs that "relieve pain, provide clean water, alleviate homelessness, provide educational opportunities, promote health, and improve the lives of women and children throughout the world."
All PW Circles meet the second Tuesday of each month.
Circle 2 meets at 10:15am in Room 24. Contact Circle Leader Susan Chisholm, for more info. Circle 2 is studying "The Letters of John" by N. T. Wright. Ruth Pollard will be the bible moderator.
Circle 3 meets at noon in the Mildred Crymes room. Everyone brings a bag lunch and coffee & water are provided. This circle will be doing the 2016-2017 PW Horizons Study, "Who Is Jesus?" by Judy Yates Siker. This study is described as “a journey to expand our understanding of who Jesus was and is—a journey of our hearts and our minds, a journey that we will take together. Contact Shirley Sova, for more info.
Circle 4 will be studying two short books by Anne Lamott. The first is called Help Thanks Wow: The Three Essential Prayers; and the second one is Stitches: A Handbook on Meaning, Hope, and Repair. This evening circle meets at 6pm. Contact Gail Stapleton, for more info.
