What to expect in Sunday Morning Worship

Sunday worship services at Fourth Church are at 8:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. (10:15 a.m. during summer) in the Sanctuary. The services last approximately one hour.

Where do I park?

On Sunday mornings, worshippers are able to park in the church parking lot, on the streets surrounding the church, and across the street in the Poinsett Club parking lot.   See where on the map.

What should I wear?

Visitors are sometimes concerned about what to wear. Fourth Presbyterian is a traditional church yet there is no Sunday dress code! Some men wear suits or jackets and ties, some wear khakis. Some women wear dresses, some wear slacks. Just dress comfortably but respectfully.

If you have children...

Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate in worship services. Ages 3-5 are in worship through the Time with Children. Worship packs for preschool and elementary children may be found near the front door. Ushers are available to help you. After the Time with Children, preschoolers (3-5) may leave as a group under the guidance of a caring adult leader for extended care during the second part of the service.

Church School Classes

Church school classes are from 10:00 - 10:50 on Sunday mornings (9:00 - 9:50 a.m. during summer). Nursery care is provided for infants. The nursery, pre-school, elementary, and junior high rooms are on the lower floor of the building. Rooms for senior high students and adults are located on the main floor. A church host is available in the Friendship Area just outside of the office. This area is also where you will find a special wall display featuring the current adult class offerings.

If you need help finding your way around or knowing what to do, please ask someone. Other questions? Please email Dr. Mike Hoyt or call him at the church office 864-232-8123.
