About the event

PLEASE READ THIS INFO!

Join your friends on a journey of transformation as we make a pilgrimage to historical sites including the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma and the National Memorial for Peace & Justice in Montgomery. Evening gatherings will include time for sharing and reflection. Our bus rides will include speakers, music and videos. This trip is designed for adult members and senior high youth with an accompanying adult.

The Higher Ground Pilgrimage is sponsored by Fourth’s JustFaith group and the Mission & Witness committee.

Payment Information

The Higher Ground Pilgrimage has been subsidized by a grant from Fourth’s Endowment committee. Payment for the trip includes travel, double-occupancy rooms in hotels and tickets to sites and museums.

Our cost per participant is set up on a sliding scale; participants may choose the cost that best fits their budget:

$100 or $200 or $300 per person, for the trip (bus travel, shared hotel room, tickets)

Participants will pay for their own meals, extras in hotels and donations they wish to make to museums or sites.

Our deadline for sign up and full payment is Sunday, October 30th. Sign up as soon as possible, as seating is limited to 56 individuals.

Payment is non-refundable, but is transferable to a participant or to the Pilgrimage Scholarship Fund. Members may provide scholarship aid for others in any amount they choose. Any member who needs scholarship aid, please contact Rev. Jackie Putnam.
